More than just the drawing of pictures, a technical drawing is also a language—a graphical language that communicates ideas and information from one mind to another. Its main function is to communicate all required information from the Engineer who designed it to the fabricators and contractors who will build it.
In its truest form this is still very much the case, however with the availability of more powerful software and computer processing, the Zenith 3D Modellers and Draughtsmen are required to go beyond that of producing standard technical drawings due to our complex range of services.
We are capable of producing 3 dimensional images that can be used to assist with the structural analysis and reporting of complex shapes and structures. These images can also be used for technical presentations and to explain clearly in one image, an issue that would require several 2D, to translate a message. Ultimately these complex and advanced images derive from sections and detailing in its simplest form. As well as dealing with plans and elevations, our team work with co-ordinates and point clouds to build up detailed imagery that can be used for advanced engineering assessments.
As well as our advanced 3D modelling and imagery capability, our CAD skill set allows us to detail:
- Complex steel fabrication drawings; Vessels, Gantries, Pipe Bridges, Stairs etc.
- Reinforced concrete drawings; detailing and scheduling; Foundations, Slabs, Beams, Columns etc.
- Temporary Works / Minor Fabrications; Bespoke Scaffold, Brackets, Crash Decks etc.
- Lifting and Winching plans; Heavy Lifting, Controlled Loading etc.
